This is a traditional Italian New Year’s recipe to bring sweetness and light into your New Year! Your friends and family will love them –
16 oz. Ricotta Cheese
3 tablespoons Sugar
4 teaspoons Baking Powder
5 cups All Purpose Flour – Sifted
¼ teaspoon Salt
Box of Powdered Sugar
Mix ricotta, eggs, sugar and baking powder. Let this stand for 1 hour. Sift flour and salt and add to ricotta cheese mixture. Heat oil and drop by teaspoon into hot oil. Remove from oil when golden brown. Sift powdered sugar onto the puffs while hot.
Optional: For a lemony flavor, add 3-4 drops of Lemon essential oil to ricotta cheese mixture.
