Brighten up your day!

If you feel like hibernating during the dark and dreary cold days of winter, you are certainly not alone.  Who doesn’t like staying snuggled up under warm covers when its raining, snowing or dark outside?  Many folks who live in the northern latitudes have trouble with occasional winter blues, but some people suffer from a much worse condition known as Seasonal Affective Disorder or S.A.D.  What is S.A.D.?  It is a type of depression (along with other symptoms) that mainly appears during the winter months and it is often treated with light therapy and medications.  Do you or someone you know suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D)?  We would like to share your story and comments.

In January, Arlys Naturals, along with the Natural Perfumers Guild Perfumers, Suppliers and Associates will be blogging about this disorder in a joint project entitled “JOY” for a three-day blogathon.   As an Aromatherapist, I will be sharing  the uplifting benefits of essential oils useful for depression, anxiety and stressful events.  Free prizes will be given away as well.

Be sure to check back after the holidays, as we will post when this event will start and how you can participate.

See how the power of scent may be just what you need in 2012 to brighten up your day!

About Aromatherapy Contessa

I love creating aromatic blends with essential oils whether for my Arlys Naturals product lines, for fun, or for customer special orders. I'm just drawn into the veil of mystery that nature has provided through these living plants, not just in their aromatic properties, but also their natural healing properties.
