Essential Living Book Review by Arlys Naturals

EssentialLivingBookPic2

As we start out with new beginnings in 2013, I am delighted to review a new Aromatherapy Book Essential Living – Aromatherapy Recipes for Health & Home by Andrea Butje, Aromahead Institute.

First, I have known Andrea Butje for many years and her love and passion for the field of aromatherapy and essential oils is exemplary.  Andrea is the Founder of Aromahead Institute.  Aromahead Institute offers aromatherapy courses online and on location in Ithaca, NY.  The Aromatherapy Certification Program is recognized by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists and the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy.
As a well-seasoned traveler, researcher and educator every project she is involved with is viewed with respect and great enthusiasm.

Just like the title of the book says, “Essential Living”, you will find simple, effective and inspiring recipes for your health and home using items from your own kitchen cupboard, along with essential oils.  I am asked all the time about resource books to recommend and found this one to be a joy to read and recommend it without hesitation.  This book will also be added to our website with a link to amazon.com for purchase.

Whether you are just delving into the world of aromatherapy as a beginner or already a professional with the desire to broaden your horizons, the format, descriptions, and concise 60 recipes packed with information will be a delight to try while making your home a little “greener”.  There are some I have already ear-marked myself!  I also like that she utilizes a variety of essential oils that many beginners do not get introduced to right away such as Ravintsara, Eucalyptus dives and Gingergrass.  There are so many wonderfully healing essential oils available today online and pleased that she chose to go beyond the ordinary.

The book follows a holistic approach with complimentary recipes promoting relaxation, reducing stress at home and work, to strengthening your immune system for continued wellness right at your own fingertips.  What could be better than that?  Sure to be one book you constantly refer to for information and ideas.

For those of you that prefer to have the book on your computer, it is also available as an e-Book.

Wait ~ there’s more…

  1. Dear Andrea,
Herbs are my passion in life. I incorporate them into my daily home and work life. I work for a Happy Herb shop and also use their products daily and also sell and use Young Living essential oils. My herbal love and connection to the plant kingdom only continues to build stronger. I am very interested in reading your Essential Living book.
