Getting the entire family together for a wonderful meal, then we tell stories about our lives together and apart. As the stories are being told we record them. That way they will be available for generations to come.

We send the fixings for a traditional Thanksgiving meal (pumpkin, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix) to my husband’s family in Scotland because we got them hooked on the tradition while we were there!

My very most Favorite Tradition is getting together with my entire family (at my elderly parents’ home) and after a little rest from digesting we put up their Christmas tree for them and my mama always tears up to see it… I thin she leaves it up until about March! =)

each year i have lived here in wyoming, i make special trip to an authentic medicine wheel (i have permission from the Lakota elders) to meditate on the introduction of european settlers, the state of affairs of the indigenous peoples and to hold those in need of healing in this special state. i do not celebrate Thanksgiving in the traditional way; i take extra food to food banks, homeless & women’s shelters. to me, this is the celebration of abundance.
