Why Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy simply refers to the study and use of essential oils (aromas) to help relieve a wide variety of emotional and physical problems – promoting a lifestyle of holistic health and wellness.  The study of aromatherapy encompasses not only the sense of smell but also the positive properties and chemical effects essential oils have on the body.

Using essential oils can help ease emotional and physical discomforts of life’s many stressors.  You may just want to create a pleasing environment in your home or office or uplift your mood.  It’s many uses range from managing anxiety, nausea, general relaxation, insomnia, digestive complaints, fatigue, muscle aches and pains, to boosting your immune system and memory and concentration, just to name a few.  Whether you are looking to facilitate your own personal well-being or illness has you searching for complementary therapies, aromatherapy offers choices for enhancing, not replacing, traditional healthcare treatments.  While aromatherapy cannot cure any disease, used in conjunction with other traditional therapies, with their doctors knowledge, many people continue to experience the positive effects aromatherapy.  Many cancer patient’s lives have been made more manageable by lessening stress, anxiety, nausea, and other symptoms by creating a relaxing and calm environment needed to nourish the body, mind and spirit.

I encourage you to embrace the “body, mind & spirit” connection of aromatherapy.  Spend your time celebrating life and enjoying the diverse benefits of nature’s aromatic gifts for your continued overall well-being.
